At metals4U, we aim to provide a straightforward returns process. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return unwanted goods for a refund, provided they are not custom items.

Items Exempt from Returns

Please note that any items that have been custom cut, polished, or otherwise fabricated to your specifications cannot be returned or refunded. We strongly encourage you to double-check all measurements and requirements before placing your order.

How to Return an Item

  1. Notify Us: To initiate a return, please email our customer service team at [email protected] within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number in the email.
  2. Receive Instructions: Our team will reply with return instructions. We can also provide a list of suggested couriers who can handle metals, but you are free to use any carrier of your choice.
  3. Post the Item: You have 14 days from the date you notify us to send the goods back. Please ensure you arrange and cover the cost of the return postage.

Conditions for Return

  • Customer Responsibility: Arranging and paying for the return shipment is the customer's responsibility. The goods remain your responsibility until they are received and inspected by us, so we recommend using a tracked and insured service. metals4U is not liable for items lost or damaged during the return transit.
  • Packaging: Please package the items securely to prevent damage. We recommend using the original packaging where possible. Goods that are returned damaged will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Item Condition: To be eligible for a full refund, goods must be returned in their original, resalable condition. We may make a deduction from your refund for any loss in value if the item is returned with signs of use, wear, or damage that have occurred while in your possession or during return transit.

Receiving Your Refund

  • Inspection: Once we receive your return, we will inspect the items to ensure they meet the conditions outlined above.
  • Refund Processing: Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 3-5 working days of a satisfactory inspection. Please note it may take a few additional days for the funds to appear in your account.
  • Delivery Costs: For full orders returned under your statutory rights, we will refund the cost of the goods and our standard outbound delivery charge if you paid for carriage. Please note that any supplementary costs for enhanced delivery (e.g., timed or next-day delivery) will not be refunded.

Your Statutory Rights This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers have the right to cancel an order from the moment it is placed until 14 days after receiving the goods. This right applies to most online purchases but excludes business-to-business (B2B) transactions and custom-made items.
